Achieving transformative results from an industry and community leader

Dick Fairbanks served as President and Owner of the leading independent auto parts supplier on Cape Cod for 30 years. He ran four locations and managed 75 employees. Not only did he increase company sales by 300 percent, but he also established a reputable brand and lead market share within the region. He formalized and professionalized all administrative functions, including purchasing, human resources, and financial protocols. Moreover, he established direct purchasing relationships with marquis national brands.

Dick is an active leader in the industry and community. In 1997, he was appointed to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) Automotive Committee and served as co-chair in 1998. In 1999, he was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of AAIA. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) from 2013-2014. More recently, Dick expanded his philanthropic efforts acting as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cape and Islands United Way. Since then, he has held various board positions in other local nonprofit agencies on Cape Cod.

Dick graduated from University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a B.A. in Economics. He received his M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
